Just shy of two years ago, my whole world was rocked when we picked up a little Shiba Inu named Rigby. Rigby is my very first dog, and I would have never guessed as to how much he would change me. He basically took over my life – including inspiring the name of this blog! ;) Since Jamie from SnapGinger is a big dog lover (and isn’t Roxy the cutest?!), I figured sharing 5 ways becoming a dog owner has changed me would be relatable to all of the other dog lovers out there.

Holiday Gift Guide: For Your Furry Friends & Giveaway

One of the gift recipients that I didn’t touch on in my last gift guide about giving the gift of experience was for our pets. It’s pretty hard to give a pet a gift of an experience, unless you count walks and visits to the dog park as a gift. ;) I always like to give Rigby a Christmas gift, and fill his stocking with goodies, so today’s holiday gift guide is going to focus on just that!

Happy Birthday, Little Man!

Today, my little man is two years old.

Today, I get to be that weirdo dog mom who writes a happy birthday letter to someone who will never even be able to understand it, let alone read it. To him, I am the provider of food. The person who takes him out to his proverbial toilet, who harasses him when I’m convinced he’s got something wrong with his insert body part here. The one who comforted him when he got attacked by another dog and screamed bloody murder for a good minute, and then rushed him to the vet the next day because I was convinced his wounds were infected already. (They weren’t. Pretty sure it can’t even happen that fast.) The one who tortured him by removing his manhood, and the one who he accidentally bit when he was choking on a too-large-for-him-trachea. My bad.

Pros and Cons of Raw Dog Food Vlog

Rigby’s hanging out on the blog today… well, technically he’s vlogging with me! (And hating it, by the way. He’s kind of a diva.) We’re sharing our experiences with feeding raw dog food, and why we chose to make the switch away from kibble. Plus, our friends at I and love and you sent us some of their dehydrated raw food to try (and they’ve definitely won Rigby over with some of their recipes!)
