How to Wear Overalls

When I saw overalls trending again last spring, I immediately was thrown back into my childhood. I remember multiple pairs of overalls over the years that I wore to death. Overalls are like jumpsuits, only better because they actually have a fairly quick and easy way to get out of them when nature calls. I’m sure if you’re an avid jumpsuit or romper wearer, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

Summer Skincare // Update Your Skincare Wardrobe for the Warmer Months

Affiliate Links // Some items in this post were sent for consideration. All opinions are my own. :)

The changing of seasons is hard on my skin. Every time we get a big shift in weather, be it a cold front, a storm, or just a string of sunny days, I’ll notice a skin freak out. Sometimes it’s just a bump or two, other times it is dry patches or an oil slick. What I’ve discovered over the years of fine tuning my skin routine is that I need vastly different skincare products depending on the season we are in.

Now that we’re on the cusp of summer, I’ve noticed my skin changing once again. Am I the only one noticing this lately? It drives me kind of crazy, but I’m fortunate enough to be able to battle most skin issues with a variety of products that I’ve discovered, and I’m happy to report continue to work for me. If you’re struggling with your skin in between seasons too, I thought I’d share the products that have been helping me tame most of my skin woes.  Continue reading

One New Way to Wear Leggings as Pants

Affiliate Links // Some items in this outfit were received c/o the brand and are labeled as such.

Wait, what? Yes, you read that correctly. I decided to take a stab at wearing leggings as pants. Now, I’m not advocating you run around in the thin leggings you can find for a couple of bucks at your local mall. The leggings I’m talking about are almost pants. A Ponte knit pant if you will. And these, I believe, can be transitioned from your fall and winter sweater’s favorite partner into something a little more warm weather appropriate.

Pacifica Beauty Review + Tutorial

Product Samples // A gift card was provided to me to purchase some of the products in this post from Bartell Drugs. All opinions and selections are my own. :)

It’s no secret that trying new makeup brands is one of my favorite things. It’s especially fun if that brand also happens to be local (from Oregon) and focuses on natural ingredients. Which brand am I talking about? Pacifica, of course!

Pacifica Beauty Review & Tutorial

Earlier this month, Bartell Drugs celebrated all things beauty during their annual Beauty Spring Sale. They had makeup demos in store, which I was lucky enough to receive, plenty of sales, and special discounts with purchase, like free gift cards. After my mini makeover, I couldn’t wait to shop the sale, and I picked out a few goodies from their newly carried Pacifica line.

Dressing for Those Rainy Spring Days

Affiliate Links // Some items in this post were provided courtesy of the brand are labeled as c/o.

Do you ever get all dressed up, then look outside only to realize it’s since started pouring down rain? That’s exactly what happened a few weeks ago when I was getting ready for a bridal shower, and a blogger get-together. With plans like that, I had to reach a certain level of dressed up, and the weather was just not cooperating.

When the weather turns rapidly, the internal struggle starts. Will I look silly if I wear this outfit outside in the rain? Is this even practical? There’s a certain point in the year where tights become obsolete in my wardrobe, and I just grin and bear it. With my tights already packed away for next year’s fall and winter, this was one of those days.
