We’re All a Little Mad Here

This post was sponsored by HSN through the CJ Affiliate VIP Content Service. As always, all opinions are my own!

Growing up, fairy tales always fascinated me. It’s no wonder; with monsters that transformed into humans, anthropomorphic creatures, and mystical storylines, they really can captivate an audience from young to old. It’s what makes Disney movies some of my all-time favorites still to this day, and why I almost always advocate for seeing a “kids” movie when we go out versus the latest action thriller. Young at heart? Maybe, but mostly, I love getting lost in the story.

Alice in Wonderland is a great example of a storyline that for me, has improved with age. The unique set of characters, the bizarre world we’re transported to, and those costumes! The costumes are probably my favorite part. It’s no wonder that I was beyond excited to have the opportunity to pick a look from HSN’s recent collection inspired by Disney’s Alice Through the Looking Glass.

5 Ways to Grow Your Blogging Community

There were many reasons I started blogging: I wanted to share my opinions about products I was trying, outfits I was loving, and adventures in being a first-time dog owner. I also wanted to meet other like-minded women and men who shared my passion and interests. However, since blogging takes place online, I thought it would always be from a distance. What I didn’t realize, and what I’m so happy to have found, is both an online community through blogging as well as an in-person one.

I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet so many talented and wonderful women and men through blogging. It’s also been incredible to be connected with local businesses who understand what blogging is and trust us, as bloggers, to share our opinions to a whole new audience. Recently I was invited to speak on a panel of style bloggers at the #StyleBoss Event at Westfield Southcenter Mall. We pulled street style looks for a mini runway fashion show and talked all about summer trends and how to look put together and on-trend without breaking the bank. I recently guest posted on the Westfield Style Blog about five summer trends that I think every girl can rock, too.

Vacation Ready DIY Pedicure

This post has been sponsored by Amopé. All thoughts and opinions are my own, of course!

Vacations are beyond exciting. You look forward to them for days, months, sometimes even years. But of course, like any good procrastinator (if there’s such a thing), I always wait until the last minute to get my prep on. When a warm-weather vacation is impending, it requires a bit of extra work, like prepping my skin to be a bit less ghostly and making sure my toes are in tip top shape with a DIY pedicure.

When I’m really crunched for time, I often will leave the work to the professionals. Lately, we’ve had some other things come up that have made me give a second look to my budget, which means cutting unnecessary expenses like manicures and pedicures. With all the items available to me at home to give myself a pedicure, it seemed silly to pay the big bucks at the resort to get one when I could do it myself ahead of time.

Is there anything more fun than coming home to a brand new package from Stitch Fix? I think not! I’m always excited to see what my stylist, Lucy, has selected for me, and this month she brought me another fun warm-weather themed fix. From tunics to cold shoulders, this month’s Stitch Fix was full of fun colors, patterns, and prints.

I’m sure you know the drill by now, but if you’re new to my blog or Stitch Fix, it’s a clothing styling service that you can set up to receive monthly, or at your leisure. You are charged $20 as a styling fee that you can put towards anything you keep from your Fix. You can plan to receive five items – typically four clothing items and one accessory (jewelry or bags, typically) or a pair of shoes!

Affiliate Links // If you click a link, I may make a small commission. This helps me fund even more tutorials, reviews, and giveaways! ;)

You know when you start doing your makeup, and then you add more, and more, and more and all of a sudden it became very dramatic and didn’t intend it to end that way? Hopefully, that’s not just me that it happens to. But that’s definitely what happened when I started working with these makeup products from Jouer Cosmetics.

Jouer Cosmetics Review // Hello Rigby Seattle Beauty Blog

Last year, I was subscribed to the Jouer Le Matchbox, a subscription box full of full-size products, for several months. I quickly ended up with a lot of Jouer Cosmetics products and figured it was about time to review them one by one and use them in a tutorial! (Oh, and I also wanted to share a couple of unused ones with you, so if you’re interested to check out my giveaway below.)
