Cherry Blossoms + Shopbop Sale

Every year when March rolls around I get excited because it means the cherry blossoms are almost in bloom. If you remember last year, then you might recall this outfit I shot with Dave under the cherry blossom trees at the University of Washington Quad, one of the most infamous of locations come spring. The trees bloom, and slowly fade over the course of a few weeks. Blink and you’ll miss them, but they are most definitely worth a trip and battling the crowds for a fun photo.

I also have an on-going partnership with Shopbop to share their sales several times a year in exchange for product credit. All opinions are my own!

On a Saturday morning, my friend Ana Luiza and I ventured over to UW for some photos and a coffee date. It’s always fun getting together with blog friends to chat about blogging, shoot photos, and not get eye rolls when you take 5 minutes to get the perfect snap for your Instagramm Story. I’m only kind of kidding.

Casual Sneaker Outfits for Spring

If I had to make a guess about the trend that I have gravitated towards the most this year, I would have to say it has been sneakers. Athleisure isn’t dead if you ask me, and time and time again I’ve run across the absolute cutest sneakers that I just couldn’t resist. From bright red floral prints to more muted slip ons, to now a retro pair, the styles may have been different but the sentiment is still the same: comfort is ruling my wardrobe, and sneaker outfits have been my go-to this spring!

The great thing about sneakers is that they are so versatile. There’s really no need to worry about what to wear them with. From tees and jeans to spring dresses to jumpsuits, you really can’t go wrong. I mean honestly, have you ever seen a sneaker outfit and thought, wow, that really looks terrible? I know I haven’t. I mean, people wear them on their wedding day so really, they can work with anything. ;)

Brooks Heritage Chariot Gelateria Collection // Hello Rigby Seattle Fashion BlogAll of this to share with you my latest additions courtesy of Brooks Heritage, the Chariot. At a spring press event, Brooks unveiled their final Heritage collection called Gelateria. The fun colors, from mint to cream to purples, reds, and pinks, evoke a spring and summer mood that I’ve been dying for. I know I’m not the only Seattle girl crossing her fingers and toes that warmer weather, drippy ice cream cones, and BBQs st the beach are coming soon!

LUZIA by Cirque du Soleil

You know those days where it seems like everything is going wrong, but then it all turns around? That was my day last Thursday. I had the privilege of being invited to the media preview night for the LUZIA by Cirque du Soleil under the big top at Marymoor Park in Redmond, and while my night started off rocky, it ended in a beautiful performance that I can’t recommend enough.

What to Wear to Cirque du Soleil // Hello Rigby Seattle Fashion Blog Disclosure: I received complimentary tickets from Cirque du Soleil in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own!

I’ll set the stage by explaining these photos. You see, I had planned a full outfit to share what I wore to the show, as this is a style and beauty blog after all… but then as soon as I went to snap my first test photo, my beloved Canon 70D locked up. It error coded, and I died a little inside, but the show must go on, right? In shock, I had Dave help me get outfit photos on my iPhone. As much as I hear people harp about how amazing iPhone photos are… I’m just going to be honest and say I don’t think I’ll be switching anytime soon. ;)

Fred Meyer Bellevue Opening + Giveaway

Earlier this week, Fred Meyer in Bellevue reopened, and I had the opportunity, along with a few blog friends, to visit the store for a preview party before it opened to the public. To say the new store in Bellevue is stunning is an understatement. The store has expanded many of the popular sections like the deli, bakery, and beer and wine, as well as added a wine and beer bar (yes you can drink in store!), sushi counter, seating area, and a giant Starbucks. With the store serving as a WiFi hot spot, you can move in. Okay, maybe not, but it sure would be convenient. ;)

When bloggers get together, we often have a lot of fun. My friend Megan and I took to the front of the store where some of the season’s best flowers were for a little photo shoot. I had recently shopped at Fred Meyer for some new on-trend spring items and came up with this outfit.
