5 Step No Makeup Makeup with Clarins

The struggle is real when it comes to making your lashes look voluminous without falsies. I’ll try any trick in the book because if I’m honest, I still haven’t mastered the false lash application. I’ve loved the no makeup makeup look lately, and fuller looking lashes can make all the difference. But really, who has time for that in the morning when you’re getting ready for work?! Not this girl.

Clarins 3-Dot Liner Natural Makeup Tutorial + Review // Hello Rigby Seattle Fashion BlogDisclosure: This post is sponsored by Clarins. All opinions shared in this post are my own!

I’m excited to partner today with Clarins to share their new 3-Dot Liner. It’s both perfect for making the lashline appear fuller and for those who may not be the best at wielding an eyeliner pen just yet. Lately, I’ve loved a no makeup makeup look, with a dash of a glow of course! I think it’s perfect for this time of year when the weather is getting nicer, and the temperatures are getting warmer. I’ve been trying to fit more into my mornings, which means less time for creating a makeup look and more time for other things. Because of that, I wanted to make this no makeup makeup tutorial as simple as possible. You can get this look in just five easy steps (and probably 5 minutes or less, too!).

Last Minute Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Yesterday my mom and I set out on another Mother’s Day Adventure, this time at Pacific Place in Downtown Seattle. Knowing my mom and her love of window shopping, I knew partnering up with them would be a great fit! With so many great options to shop at for Mom, Pacific Place is a one-stop destination, with stores like L’Occitane, Chico’s, and Francescasr to delicious food options from Din Tai Fung, Pike Place Chowder, and sweet treats from Trophy Cupcake, you really can’t go wrong. Plus if you and mom are exhausted from an all-day shopping adventure, you can always kick up your feet and catch a flick at the AMC Theatre at the very top! ;)

5 Ways to Pamper Mom This Mother’s Day

My mom is a pretty special lady. At 50, she decided to take on a whole new career and hit the books so that she could do it. I think my leaving for college may have had something to do with that, but I appreciate her drive and can-do attitude. She’s one of those people who thinks of others first and rarely spends time or money on herself. If anyone deserves a special Mother’s Day, it’s mine, which is why I wanted to pamper mom this Mother’s Day!

5 Ways to Pamper Mom This Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day always reminds me to be appreciative of the skills and life lessons she has taught me. Because my mom works so hard and seems to always be doing something, whether it’s working, helping someone out of some type of financial or tax pickle (she’s a Tax Advisor and bookkeeper for small businesses and organizations), or off to take Rigby for a walk, I wanted to be sure Mother’s Day for her this year would be something where she didn’t have to do anything.

The Secret to Feeling More Confident

You know, I spent a lot of time in my younger days wishing I looked like someone else. And if I’m being honest, I still have some of those same hang ups. I never had a flat stomach, and I’ve had to learn how to dress in a way that minimizes it. My boobs are larger than most women who are my size and height. And my butt, well, it used to be nonexistent, and then I hit late-20-something and now I actually have pants that won’t accommodate it. I also have larger-than-average arms and shoulders, leftover from my swim team days.

Sure, I once wished all of it away. And sometimes I still do. But I’ve also learned the secret to being more confident. And I hate to break it to you, but there is none. The secret lies within you. It means accepting your flaws, whatever that means to you. What I may find a flaw in myself might be your best feature. What I may love about myself may be your biggest insecurity. What being in my late 20s has taught me is that no two people are alike, and that is something worth celebrating.

We as women are too hard on ourselves. We feel bad when we go up a size. (Or at least I do.) I put pressure on myself to never gain weight, to stay the same. And honestly, that’s just not practical. Our bodies change as we get older, and for some bodies who transition to having children, they may change a whole lot.

So how have I worked on feeling more confident?
