Improving Connectivity in Our New House with eero

As a self-described tech nerd, something that surprised me about our new house was all of the connectivity issues we noticed right off the bat! Maybe it’s the older neighborhood, but we quickly found that the cell service left much to be desired. We knew we had to get high-speed internet access installed right away and counted down the days until our installation date. Even after that happened, we still noticed dead zones and connection problems throughout the house and outside. The first time I worked from home, I took my laptop to work outside (I mean, it’s summer, might as well enjoy it!) and I couldn’t even get online. So much for getting work done!

Immediately I knew we had to fix this problem. What’s the point in having a great outdoor space that’s perfect for working in when you can’t even use it?! I quickly went to work on finding a solution and searched on Amazon for the best home WiFi set up. That’s when eero popped up. And then I saw them again on ProductHunt. And then, I had the opportunity to partner with them! You could say it was fate. Or just some really, really good luck.

Simple Summer Dress Outfits // Story of My Dress for Poshmark Collection

When I began blogging, I had no idea how much it would change my life. It sounds dramatic, but it’s also very true. I’ve made new life long friends, been involved in interesting projects, and been able to do things that never even crossed my mind. Like go below the SeaTac airport and skip security for an event. Or hang out in a mattress store and get my hair braided. Or get invited to meet Demi Lovato before her concert. Told you.

I’m not saying this to brag, promise. I didn’t get into blogging because of things like this. I didn’t think any of these things were even possible for smaller bloggers. But as I’ve blogged, the ride of the micro influencer (described as those with less than 100,000 followers or so, depending on whose speaking about it) has changed the landscape.

Summer Outfits for Work

Air conditioner quit working at your office? Or do you have the type of office where it’s so cold that you dress like it’s fall outside?! Either way, over the years I’ve found myself in both situations and have plenty of suggestions for how to dress for warm weather, even if we don’t get a ton of it here in Seattle!

What to wear in an overly air-conditioned office

At present, my office is often so cold that it feels more like fall inside while outside it has been in the 70s. The concrete jungle of the city makes it feel even warmer when walking from place to place, so it’s it can be tough to navigate the cold inside versus the heat outside.

Stitch Fix July 2017 | Stitch Fix Review

Happy July! I hope you and yours had a wonderful Fourth of July. We spent the days leading up to the 4th in Victoria, BC with Dave’s family. It was so nice to get away for a few days and then come home and still have a little time off of work. If you haven’t been, Victoria is a beautiful city and I’ll be sharing more about our trip later this week.

Until then, I have for you a new Stitch Fix! These posts always seem to be popular so I keep doing them. Plus, I can’t lie, I love having a surprise box to open every month. There’s something fun about having someone else find clothes for you that they think are your style. This month is probably my favorite Fix yet. Every piece in this Fix is something I could have seen myself wearing, and the only reason I didn’t keep everything was that not everything fit just right. The struggle is real!

Stitch Fix also serves male clients too! Have a significant other or male relative in need of some shopping assistance? Send them over to Stitch Fix Men! It works the same way, and it’s perfect for the man in your life because if we are being honest, most men hate shopping!

Summer Beauty On The Go with CVS

Now that summer is officially here, I’m so excited to dust off some old favorite beauty products, and add a few new ones into my summer beauty routine! We actually are off on vacation right now, which meant stopping by my local CVS Pharmacy to replenish my sun care products before we left. The last thing I want to do on vacation is run out of sunscreen and get burnt!

As you might know, sun safety is incredibly important to me. I had a mole scare a few years ago that had me panicking, and it reminded me just how important my body and my skin is. As much as I love a good makeup product, one that also has skincare and sun care benefits is even better!

Summer Beauty On the Go

That’s where my friends at CVS Pharmacy really come in. I’m partnering with them to share my summer beauty routine that’s perfect for traveling, or even for everyday! It’s no muss, no fuss and will keep you having fun on your trip without sacrificing your skin’s health. The goal of each product I picked up was to make an impact; it had to be simple to use and apply, protect my skin, or be multi-purpose. Or some combination of all three, which most of these are! If you’d like to see the products I selected, how I chose them, and what they look like on, then just keep reading!
