5 Fall Essentials to Makeover Your Daily Routine

Ah, that pesky daily routine. It’s honestly something that I still haven’t mastered. Beyond getting up in the morning, getting coffee, and feeding myself, I’m really not the best at playing by the rules or following any sort of schedule. Must be that creative brain of mine.

With that said, there are several hacks and modifications I’ve made over the years to make my days run more smoothly and efficiently. And when fall rolls around, the mornings get a little bit colder, the air feels crisper, and the blankets in bed feel even warmer and cozy, it can be hard to get things moving. That’s why I’m so excited to share a fun post in partnership with BabbleBoxx that features some great fall essentials to help makeover your daily routine!

Cozy Recipes for Fall with ANGOSTURA Bitters

It’s just beginning to feel like fall, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to embrace the delicious flavors of autumn. No, I don’t mean pumpkin spice! I’m talking about apple crisp fresh out of the oven, and creamy, delicious comfort foods to fill you up and make you feel all warm and cozy inside as temps slowly but surely drop. I’m thrilled to partner with ANGOSTURA® bitters again this season to share how you can make two twists on classic and delicious fall dishes, incorporating the brand’s signature aromatic bitters to enhance flavors, of course!

As the leaves begin to change, it’s only fitting to dust off the recipe books and cook up some old fall favorites. This season, why not try a new culinary ingredient as well? ANGOSTURA bitters, known for their use in cocktails, are also a simple way to add complexity and flavor to dishes, from sweet to savory! Even better, ANGOSTURA® aromatic and orange bitters are sodium free, gluten free, vegan and kosher, making them easy to incorporate within a number of culinary genres and dietary preferences.

Put a Chic Spin on Your Game Day Party

It’s that time of year! Yep, football season is back. As you may or may not know, I’m not the biggest sports fan in the world… however, I’ve grown up around my dad who is the #1 University of Washington Husky football fan. And I went to their rival school.

Yep, he loved that.

For that reason, we’ve spent a lot of time watching the “big game” and eating plenty of game day snacks over the years.

Honestly, it was a fun rivalry throughout my college years and gave us lots to chat about leading up to the Apple Cup, where the two largest colleges in Washington went head to head. Later, the Seattle Seahawks made the playoffs and went on to win the Super Bowl, and I found myself getting invited to come watch the game with friends and family.

I quickly found that while I may not love the sport, it doesn’t mean that I can’t enjoy the camaraderie and parties that come with it! That’s exactly why today I thought I’d share a spin on a game day party. Nope, you don’t have to cover your house in mascots, don a jersey, or wave around a finger to have a fun sports party! And no, your game day spread doesn’t have to be terribly unhealthy either. And best of all, you can find everything you need at Fred Meyer!

My Connected Home with CenturyLink

You’ve worked hard for hours on getting your project just right. You’ve reviewed it, made your edits, and are getting ready to upload it when all of a sudden your internet goes out.

Sound familiar?

Disclosure: Thanks to CenturyLink for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own. And I speak from experience – we have been paying customers of their 1 Gig service for over a year!

Up until we bought our house and switched to CenturyLink this was my life. Whether I was trying to get something finished for work and sent off, or I was trying to finish up a blog post or YouTube video, it frustrated me day and night to have internet service (and not inexpensive service, either!) that was just not reliable. I’d have videos get half uploaded and fail, only to realize that my connection dropped. And Dave also was frustrated; he enjoys video games with friends, and he was continually finding himself getting dropped out of matches he was in with his friends due to a dropped connection.

The Ones That Got Away // My Biggest Fashion Regrets

It was my first designer handbag purchase. It was too much money for me to pay retail for, so I stalked eBay auctions, learned all about authenticating designer bags, and read up on verified sellers.

I paid $350, or maybe it was $450, for my first (and at present, only) Louis Vuitton. I was 16 and was using one of my first tax returns ever on a Speedy 25, a bag I thought I’d keep forever.

Only, forever didn’t exactly happen.
