Recap: Style Blooms Fashion Show at Bellevue Collection

On Saturday, Sarah and I went to a runway show held by the Bellevue Collection called the Style Blooms Fashion Show. It featured clothing that is sold at many of the mall (Bellevue Square) stores, so maybe a bit more “budget conscious” then a true Runway Show. I would say that overall the styles were much more appropriate for everyday wear and all the looks felt pretty wearable.

I’ve rounded up a series of my favorite looks from the show, complete with a shopping list if you’re into that sort of thing. If not, look at the not-so-pretty pictures (sorry, we were a few rows back – word to the wise, get to these sorts of things early if you want good photos! oops.)

baseball jacket, lace, + rocksbox review

i’m possibly one of the least athletic people in existence. working out? not a fan. playing sports? i’d rather not. watching sports? hmm… no. wearing athletic inspired fashion items? ok, maybe. this baseball jacket is totally different for me. not at all something i would normally go for. i’m much more into feminine shapes and fabrics – floral, lace, silk. so when i was thinking about what to wear, i knew i couldn’t wear this jacket without totally losing my own personal style. baseball jacket, lace, + rocksbox / hello, rigby!i decided to pair this baseball jacket with a more flowy lace top to better balance the lack of feminine detail and athletic shape. back in black

well, i’m back in black this week for my weekly outfit! the last few days have been more of spring’s fun april showers. and by fun, i really mean unpredictable and annoying. i just want to wear dresses and skirts and shorts like everyone else on the west coast, damn it.

which brings me to my how do you do that list, inspired by Jackie’s link up:
how do you have perfect hair, even though its pouring rain? seriously, i can’t. as evidenced by today’s photos, i put it in the messiest top knot and let the rest of the world just deal with it.

my winter uniform / fashion friday ootd

As winter is coming to a close, this is probably one of the last times I’m going to need to layer this much. This last weekend, we went out to brunch with my parents, walked the dog, and stopped for a mini photo shoot on our walk. Ok, maybe I highly encouraged the walk for some photo ops, but whatever. #fashionblogger problems, right?
