i am so glad it is finally friday! with last week being a short work week, this has felt like the slowest week ever. we’ve had a bit of a cool down in Seattle this week, with temperatures in the low to mid 60s, but i’ve still been dying to wear warm weather clothing. the problem? my office at work is freezing. seriously, they crank the AC even when it’s 65 out. yeesh.

The title of this post is a play on words (priddy is the brand of the dress, lucky made this sweater) but honestly, today i’m feeling pretty lucky. i had a skin check with my dermatologist and got the all clear. i noticed some changes on a couple of small moles, and freaked. with all the talk of using SPF and skin cancer lately on the Twitterz, my paranoia got the best of me.
so after spending way too much money at Nordstrom’s half yearly sale for women, i’m here to show you what i wore that i did not get at the sale. ;) i really love wearing flowing skirts like this, they’re fun to twirl in (when no ones paying attention, because i feel like you can only get away with that if you’re under the age of 8) and super airy for warmer days, which surprisingly we’ve had quite a few of so far this season!
the only problem with this sunny weather? taking outfit photos! finding shady areas with enough light and not a lot of shadows isn’t the easiest thing in the world. who knew?! Continue reading
what on earth is that big blinding thing in the sky? is that the sun? a rare sighting in seattle has been making appearances this week. i had to dust off my sunglasses last week and promptly put them away after it began raining again, but this week it’s been nothing but the good stuff. it’s been in the 70s and 80s all week and i’m loving it.
on wednesday, i mentioned how i realized how pale i am over the weekend, and even made up a phrase: pale girl camo. well, here’s the outfit that really spelled out how pale i truly am. my dermatologist would be super proud of me right about now.
midi skirts are something i’ve heard are terrible for us petite people. i say whatever to that. wear what you like, even if its not the absolute most flattering thing in the world. i have a couple of tough spots – i’m short (5’3″) and i also have a short torso. it makes it a bit of a challenge when it comes to shopping sometimes, but i always dig a high waisted look.
