Last week, I had the privilege of being sent to Urban Campfire in Seattle by Luna with my friend Sarah. I hadn’t heard of Urban Campfire before, but after reading a bit about it, it sounded right up my alley. Inspiring women, check. S’mores, check. Held in an airplane hangar, check. Sounded pretty sweet to me.
As you may have gathered by now, I spent last weekend in Dallas for The Hundred Event. I’d never been to Texas, and this is the first year of The Hundred so I had no idea what to expect. Considering most other blogging events I have attended have been great, I figured I had absolutely nothing to lose, and only knowledge to gain.
It all started from an innocent tweet, where I complimented Grace on her blog. Lauren, the brains behind The Hundred, emailed me that evening and asked if it looked like something I’d like to attend. I’m not a writer. So why do I blog?

Some days I have no idea. I started this blog just shy of one year ago after discovering a beauty blog. She also happened to receive Birchbox, and thus my love obsession with beauty subscription boxes began. I started writing reviews as an “easy” way to share a part of myself with the rest of the world. Shortly after that, I realized I wasn’t really enjoying that. I wanted to do more, write more, and share some of my other passions.
As you may remember, I traveled this weekend to Dallas, and I’m still pretty tired. Blame the time difference, or maybe I’m just getting old… but when I get tired, my brain gets tired. Which means its really hard to get the blog juices flowing. So here I am just staring at this blank post, when I figured I could do something that I’m fairly good at. Talking about myself.
I thought I’d share 5 things that you may not already know about me. Or maybe you do know these things already, in which case you must be a stalker. Or you just pay attention. Either way, here we go:
So, truth be told I almost forgot today was Friday. Probably because yesterday felt so much like Friday (because I’m taking today off from work) and I’ve been super confused. I’m off to Dallas this weekend, for a little blogging fun at The Hundred Event. This is my first blogger “conference”, but let’s be real, I’m just using it as an excuse to travel. #sorrynotsorry
