10 Helpful Christmas Apps for iPhone

You guys may know by now that I work in the tech industry. I am a self-professed tech geek, and I love my iPhone more than life itself. (Okay, maybe that’s a slight exaggeration, but you get what I’m saying.)  Something I love about iPhones are the amazing amount of helpful apps in the App Store.

I challenge myself to download 5 news ones each day for my job, you know, research and all. Comes with the designer territory. But since I do so much work related research, I figured I’d share some of the best ones I’ve downloaded recently that I think are helpful for the holiday season!  So read on for 10 helpful Christmas apps for iPhone, that should make your busy holiday season a little easier.

Holiday Gift Guide & $175 Giveaway!

So I know, tis the season. Welcome to the beginning of the bombardment of all the gifts you should be buying for everyone and their sister. Right? Well, I’m jumping on the bandwagon… but I’m going to try to do things a little differently.

Today, I’m going to be sharing gifts that I’ve given before, or if I haven’t given them, have wanted to. You see, I am not a gift traditionalist. As I’ve gotten older, what I’ve realized is that traditional gifts tend to suck. Gift cards to Best Buy, towel sets, random appliances… boringggg. I’m more a fan of giving an experience. I try to think about something that person really wants, but can’t afford to do, or doesn’t feel is worth the “splurge” and do my best to either give it to them (if it’s not cost prohibitive) or help them do it (gift card with as much as I can afford.) So today, I am sharing my top-secret gift ideas with you. Guess they’re not so secret anymore! ;)

ClassPass Seattle… It’s here!

As you may remember, I’ve shared my anxiety struggles here before. It’s one of those things that comes in waves for me. Some days I will be totally fine, and other days I will really struggle with it and it will go on and on. It’s frustrating – I’m a control freak, and not being able to control my own emotions and thoughts is incredibly stressful, which really just makes it worse.

I went to the doctor a few weeks ago and asked for help. I asked to be put on medication to make me feel better. And you know what happened? I filled the prescription and was too terrified to take it because of the awful side effects. (Yeah, I know, ironic.) Suicidal thoughts? Increased anxiety? Yeah, no thank you. So I’ve discussed it with family and decided I’m going to seek “alternative” therapy first. My first attempt at that is upping my exercise. Endorphins from exercise make you feel good, and hopefully I can channel my thousand and one thoughts into burning calories instead.

10 Things Gilmore Girls Has Taught Me

I’ve been binge watching Gilmore  Girls ever since it was released to Netflix and I have a lot of thoughts, and a lot of love, for this show. Sure, I could binge watch this show any day of the week (hello, full series DVD owner over here) but there’s something more fun about being able to just stream it. Upon Googling this fun blog post idea about things Gilmore Girls has taught me, I realized I am not that original. But that’s okay, because there’s always room for more Gilmore Girls love, am I right?

Last week I shared the first few fashion shows and events I went to in September, which was basically my whirlwind month. It was fun, but I’ve been so happy to have my nights and weekends back!
