Bloggers Who Photoshop

Photoshop, that is. We all have access to tools that will “Photoshop” us in one way or another, whether it’s the SkinnyCam App, one of the many make up apps like Makeup Genius or Perfect365 that promises a makeover, or actually Photoshop itself.

Bloggers Who Photoshop Their Images / hellorigby!Bloggers who Photoshop: Yes, I’m one of them.

I’m not going to lie, I’ve Photoshopped some of my images. I fix them when the exposure is too low, or when there’s a stray hair in my face, a dog hair on a close up shot of a sweater, and I’ll brighten my face up using the Dodge tool. I’m no pro photographer; sometimes the shots out of the camera need some help.  Continue reading

The Condo Remodel… Almost

Press Discount
There is a lot I’ve learned about myself over the past year or so. Something about blogging really brings to light some of your best and worst characteristics. For me, I’ve discovered what an awful procrastinator I can be, and also how I’m not quite as organized as I thought I was.

The Condo Remodel...Almost / Porch Seattle iPhone App / hellorigby! seattle lifestyle and fashion blog

I’ve mentioned a couple of times that we’re looking to do a remodel of our condo. Some of my biggest flaws – yep, especially the procrastination one – has really reared its ugly head with this remodel. Why is it that things that are hard or outside of our comfort zones become nearly impossible to start and finish?

Three Years

…Or how we met, and ironically I’m the one who still can’t figure out which day is our “dateiversary.”

Dave and I have been together for three years. I haven’t actually talked about our relationship much, if at all, on the blog because… well, that’s not really what I write about. We’re not married, so I’m not about to give anyone marriage advice. (And even if we were, I highly doubt you’d want it. I’m far from perfect.) And he’s not necessarily the biggest fan of being subject of any blog posts, so I usually try to keep him out of it. He’s nice enough and obliges me sometimes though. ;)  Continue reading

The 10 Best Christmas Movies & Giveaway!

I think you can probably guess by now that Christmas is my favorite of all the holidays. There’s nothing better than grabbing your favorite snacks, cozying up in a warm blanket with your pup, and drinking some hot cocoa while watching the best Christmas movies. I thought it’d be fun to share my top 10 that I almost always try to watch before Christmas comes (or have on all day on Christmas. I may or may not have looped A Christmas Story all day last year…)

The 10 Best Christmas Movies

ClassPass Seattle Recap

You may remember that I was trying out ClassPass Seattle for the month of November in an attempt to quell my anxiety, as well as explore new workout options. I thought it was about time for an update.

ClassPass Seattle: A Recap & Update / hellorigby!

My main goal with working out was to see if it could help with anxiety. While I think it did, I wasn’t as consistent with it as I’d hoped. I didn’t vocalize a goal for myself, but I did want to try one new class a week, at minimum. I didn’t quite do that – life gets in the way sometimes. But I did try 3 new workouts, and found one that I really enjoyed which makes it worth it.  Continue reading
