I’m Baaaaacckkk & an Amazon Giveaway

Oh hi guys, long time no blog! It feels like I’ve been gone forever, but nope, just a week. I hope the gals that guest posted for me while I was gone kept you entertained in my absence and that you were able to find some great new blogs to read.

I’m not going to promise you magical things for this post, mostly because today was my first day back at work and I thought I was going to fall asleep by 11am. In case you are unaware, work starts for me at 10am. I wasn’t doing so well… then the coffee kicked in and I basically had ADD until it wore off around 4pm. So, that was fun.

Great Stirrup Cay Beach, Bahamas - Norwegian Cruise Line / hellorigby!

I’m still going through photos from the past week, but I will leave you with this gem from last week’s adventure. This shot was taken on Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian Cruise Line’s private island in the Bahamas. It was the home of a really special sunburn on the side of my leg (like seriously, the most bizarre location and shape ever. I think I accidentally rubbed the sunscreen off while it was still wet… so learn from my mistake!) as well as fabulous drinks in coconuts with monkey faces. Yeah, you’ll see what I mean in tomorrow’s post. (or Thursday’s… I may or may not have taken way too many photos!) Continue reading

Do I Look Like Somebody’s Mama?

As you probably know, I don’t have children of my own (yet, and the jury is still out on that one.) But, that doens’t mean that I don’t love hearing about motherhood! I actually follow quite a few “mommy” bloggers, and enjoy hearing the changes that come with motherhood. Brittany of Laugh Out Loud Mommy is here today to share how her style has changed since becoming a Mama.

No, really do I look like somebody’s mama? My husband sometimes says this to me, “look at you, looking like somebody’s mama,” and I instantly get offended. I know that it wasn’t meant to be an insult, but was actually meant to be endearing. However, I don’t want to look like anyone’s mom. Don’t get me wrong I love my kids, but when I’m out I want descriptions such as, “hot”, “stunning”, “stylish”, I don’t want to scream “mom”.

What I Accomplished in 2014 Link Up

It’s nice to be back to a semi-normal schedule today. As you may have noticed, I took a few days off last week to prepare and recover from Christmas festivities. We did four Christmases, and I hosted Christmas Brunch with my mom this year. Lots of good food and fun, but glad the planning is behind me now. Hope you and yours had a wonderful holiday season!

It’s amazing to me that 2014 is coming to a close so soon. I feel like I say this every year, but I can’t believe it went by so quickly. That’s why I’m excited to look back at 2014 with Sarah today!

What I Accomplished in 2014 & Looking Forward to in 2015! / hellorigby!

What I Accomplished

2014. It was a good year. We hit a few bumps, but I must say, it was much kinder to us than 2013.  Continue reading
