There’s something nostalgic about Betsey Johnson to me. You see, almost 10 years ago, a girl was having a horrible time finding a prom dress. All the dresses she saw were too long, too sparkly, had too many sequins, or showed off too much of her “assets,” if you get my drift. And if you haven’t figured it out by now, that girl was me.

Finally, after many failed attempts at dress shopping, I stumbled into the Betsey Johnson store in Downtown Seattle, picked up two dresses, tried them on, and I fell in love with one of them. The only problem? The one I fell for was $450. Wayyy more than my Mom wanted to spend. But a few promises to work off my overspending and a lot of groveling later, it was on, and I had my dress.

10 TV Shows to Binge Watch on Netflix Right Now

I won’t lie. I’m kind of addicted. To Netflix, that is. I may or may not have spent most of my weekend marathoning One Tree Hill. It makes me super nostalgic for high school… you know, mid-2000s fashion, indie music, and all the drama that comes with high school friendships. Okay, maybe not that nostalgic, but I’m sure you know what I mean.

Because I’ve marathoned a ton of shows this year on Netflix, I thought it would be fun to share 10 TV shows to binge watch on Netflix. Right now. Ready?

#StartBetter by Saying Yes & Giveaway

Product Sample: Complimentary cosmetic samples were provided to me in exchange for this post. Affiliate Links: If you click on a link in this post, I may make a very small commission.

For most of my life, I have been the cautious one. I wouldn’t say no, but I wouldn’t say yes either. Instead, I would hesitate.

Don’t get me wrong, I still do. I’m not always the most decisive. Ask me to pick a restaurant and I’ll deflect for you to choose. Ask me my opinion about which restaurants in Seattle are the best, and you’ll get a totally different answer. I don’t like to make decisions, but I’m probably too opinionated for my own good.

Mixing Patterns

At the end of last month, I tried my hand at Calligraphy. You know, the art of hand lettering. All I have to say after that experience is that there really is a reason why this is not a DIY or crafting blog. You guys would laugh mercilessly at me, then mock me on some internet forum. It’s cool, it’s the reason I probably will never go there.

I say probably because you never know. I may or may not have had my own craft business. Granted, I was 12, but still. I could make a comeback. ;)

Valentines, Aztec, & Belle Hibou Giveaway

Well, the day is nearly upon us. To me, it’s Valentine’s Day. To some, a celebration of their gal-pals Galentine’s style. For others, it’s “Single Awareness Day”. For a long, long time I fell into the latter category. If you’re there and bummed about it, don’t be. It’ll change soon enough. ;)

I don’t know if you’ve figured this out about me yet, but I’m not very romantic. Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea of romance. I love a good romantic comedy, a chick-lit book with a full on corny love story, and I’m kind of obsessed with idea of getting married (I blame all of the pretty engagement rings I’ve been forced to try on and all of my friends who’ve gotten engaged/married in recent years)…. but I’m not romantic, and I hate romantic gestures. They make me uncomfortable. I blame my childhood.
