Stitch Fix April 2017 | Stitch Fix Reviews

Happy April! I hope no one fooled you too much over the weekend. ;) I honestly can’t believe how fast March went, and I’m still writing down March as the month whenever I’ve needed to over the past couple of days.  Hopefully, that means real spring weather is on the way, but until then, I have another Stitch Fix review to help kick off the month!

Fred Meyer Bellevue Opening + Giveaway

Earlier this week, Fred Meyer in Bellevue reopened, and I had the opportunity, along with a few blog friends, to visit the store for a preview party before it opened to the public. To say the new store in Bellevue is stunning is an understatement. The store has expanded many of the popular sections like the deli, bakery, and beer and wine, as well as added a wine and beer bar (yes you can drink in store!), sushi counter, seating area, and a giant Starbucks. With the store serving as a WiFi hot spot, you can move in. Okay, maybe not, but it sure would be convenient. ;)

When bloggers get together, we often have a lot of fun. My friend Megan and I took to the front of the store where some of the season’s best flowers were for a little photo shoot. I had recently shopped at Fred Meyer for some new on-trend spring items and came up with this outfit.

Pajama Dressing

Pajama dressing is a trend that I’ve admired from a far. While I think so many fashion bloggers and enthusiasts can pull it off so well, I worry about looking like I just rolled out of bed. The struggle is real to keep it looking too casual, but I think in today’s outfit, I’ve been able to merge the casual cool of the pajama trend with an outfit that looks intentional.

How to Wear the Pajama Dressing Trend // Hello Rigby Seattle Fashion Blog
While I try not to let what others think of me have an impact on my style, sometimes situations arise that just shock you. Let me tell you a little story about one time when I was in Florida. From across the beach, a rude man yelled at me, “why are you wearing pajamas to the beach?!” Clearly he just didn’t understand my trendy, printed knit pants were not pajama pants but instead cute and comfortable pants that were perfect for a variable temperature like Florida in January. Offended and concerned others must think the same way, I packed my knit pants away and only wore them around the house. While that was probably a little silly on my part, it got me thinking about how much fashion can impact what others may think of you.

Recently I decided to try the trend again. After seeing it come down the runway, again and again, it’s clear it wasn’t just something to be worn around the house. Embracing satin button ups with piping, slip dresses, and knit pants is okay! In fact, I think the trend is pretty darn cute and who cares if someone thinks you just rolled out of bed?!

I think there are several things you can do, however, to make pajama dressing look intentional, not sloppy. I thought I’d share some of those tricks I employed in my outfit with you!

Fewer, Better Things

If I had to think of an ideal way to live, it would most definitely follow the “fewer, better” mantra. Keeping the things that bring joy, giving away the things that don’t, and investing in the experiences, memories, and things that will last a lifetime. While I will never be a minimalist (much to the chagrin of my significant other), I can work on ways to minimize the amount of “things” that I consume and keep, and find new ways to repurpose, donate, or recycle the things that I don’t need.

Fewer, Better Things with Cuyana

I was recently introduced to the brand Cuyana who epitomize the “fewer, better things” lifestyle. In fact, they champion the #fewerbetter hashtag on social media, and it’s clear they’re pieces are something different. Clean, minimal lines. Beautiful fabrics and neutral tones that can be mixed and matched effortlessly. Silhouettes that are flattering and timeless. The perfection of these styles is in their simplicity, and in their ability to fit into any woman’s existing wardrobe. From a new button up for work, a timeless crossbody that fits just the essentials, or a trench coat that will keep your outfit from getting soaked in a rain shower, each piece was created to fill a particular need.
