Juice Beauty Review & Giveaway

Product Sample: Skincare samples from Juice Beauty were provided to me in exchange for this honest review.

I am so excited to be talking about my experience with Juice Beauty today. Why, you ask? Because I love ALL of the products I’ve been trying for the past month from them. They reached out to me after I shared their Nutrient Moisturizer in the Whole Foods Beauty Travel Bag and asked if I’d be interested in trying more products. Of course, I said yes!

Let’s backtrack a bit. Last year I had the worst breakout I’ve ever had in my life. I wish I was exaggerating, but I’ve never had acne quite so terrible. I had one cystic zit that was so bad, whenever I turned my head I wanted to die. It was right where my jawline and neck met, so it was just incredibly uncomfortable. I tried to throw every potent product I owned at it, and it only made the situation worse. When I backed off and focused on hydration and gentle skincare, I found it really helped. Since then, I’ve been on a mission to put the best things possible on my face.

Juice Beauty Review: Skincare for Dry Skin // hellorigby seattle beauty blog

Juice Beauty Review

One of my big skin issues is dryness. I’m acne-prone, but dry. It makes it hard to find something that’s moisturizing enough without breaking me out. I’ve tried so many night creams that were hydrating enough and then broke me out terribly. Luckily with Juice Beauty Skincare, my skin feels nice and hydrated AND it hasn’t broken me out. Additionally, Juice Beauty uses natural, organic ingredients and is cruelty-free. Win-win-win-win!

What I Bought, Read, & Used Up in September

Thanks so much for your feedback last month on this style of post. The consensus (and mine too!) was that the style was good, but the book reviews were cray. I was hoping to eliminate the book reviews and just share my favorites… and I kind of failed at that. The truth is, that while I love reading, I just don’t love writing reviews.

SO, this month I’m going to try to do better and just share a handful of favorite books, what I bought, and my empties. If you want more information about what I’ve been reading, add me on Goodreads! I track and rate all the books I read over there.

I’m really proud of myself this month. I went 3 weeks out of the month without buying a thing. Then I was invited to a pop-up shop for Emerald Cuff and purchased an adorable (and not yet available) striped cape. I also purchased the owl romper from the LC Lauren Conrad Runway Collection. (See my entire review of the collection here.) I told myself no new makeup this month, which I did successfully, and apparently I resisted the urge to buy all the clothes even though I ended up attending two fashion shows and had numerous other temptations.

Everyday to Dramatic Eye Makeup for Fall

Sponsored Post: I am being compensated by #CollectiveBias in partnership with #LorealBeauty for this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I can remember digging through my mom’s special makeup box when I was little and pulling out all of the shimmery and sparkly shadows and falling in love with makeup. My admiration for makeup only grew as I got older. By 12, I was experimenting with all sorts of eyeshadow colors (especially blues, because blue eyes must wear blue eyeshadow right?) Luckily I’ve moved along from the blues obsession and now play with colors of all kind.

The subscription box love runs deep around here. The beginning of the month marked the receipt of my Box of Style from The Zoe Report. Later in the month came the usual suspects: Birchbox and Ipsy. I also received Julep Maven again because… oops, I forgot to cancel. I lucked out again with a box that’s totally usable.

So, let’s get on with it shall we? The goods right this way…

End of Summer Favorites: Skin, Body, Sun, Yuan Spa, & Giveaway

Complimentary Product/Service: I received press samples, and a service from Yuan Spa. All opinions are my own. Affiliate Links: If you click a link below I may make a small commission.

With only a few days of summer left, I figured I’d better hurry up and share what skin and body care items I’ve loved this summer. I know in some areas, the summer climate (or what is similar to our summer climate in the Pacific Northwest) doesn’t ever truly end. We’ll be traveling to a couple of those places (Miami and Newport Beach) this fall, so I’ll be continuing using a lot of these items throughout the next couple of months to get wedding-guest-ready. Is that a thing?
