Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you and your family are planning a wonderful holiday and that you’ll be surrounded by the people you love most tomorrow. Or, if not tomorrow, then sometime very soon! With our two extended families, we often split time throughout the long weekend with different families so we can be sure to see everyone.

And of course, I always look forward to getting some holiday shopping done over the long weekend! Shopping from the comfort of my own home is definitely more my jam then going out and battling the crowds. How about you?!
Shop this Outfit
Hat: Jessa Boucle Cap // Top: Window Pane Peplum Top c/o J.Jill // Jeans: Everlane Midrise Ankle Denim // Socks: Sheer Anklet Socks c/o Berkshire // Pumps: Adam Lippes for Target {similar under $50} // Bag: Gigi New York Rachel Convertible Clutch
In fact, I’ve already started shopping. Whoops! In case you’re curious what I’m buying, you’ll be able to follow along in real-time on my Instagram Story all this weekend. I’ll also be running a few flash giveaways, so be sure to follow me on Instagram if you don’t already! :)
When it comes to thinking about what I’ll be wearing this Black Friday, I instantly thought of this mostly black outfit that I rocked when I visited Virginia! It combined some of my favorite casual elements like a tunic top and jeans, with a fun surprise of socks with heels on the bottom to dress things up a bit! Couldn’t forget a baker boy hat to top it all off, either! Hats of varying styles have really been having a moment this season, from berets to beanies to newsboys to baker boy caps, there’s a style for everyone. I’ve definitely bought into this trend and am excited to share more ways to wear these fun hat styles throughout fall and into winter. (Which is sneaking up on me fast! Eek, I’m not ready for it!)
And if you’re afraid you can’t pull it off, then trust me, you can! I wasn’t so sure either, but I promise once you find a style you love, you’ll wear it 5,000 times more than you ever imagined. I wore this hat almost our entire trip in Virginia, too.
From covering up a bad hair day to just hiding the fact that you didn’t have time to style your hair, it’s kind of my favorite lazy girl hack. When in doubt, put a hat on it is my motto of late! Plus, I love how much it adds to this outfit without too much extra effort.
Speaking of hats, the one I’m wearing is from the last Shopbop sale! It’s a great find by Eugenia Kim’s lower-priced line, Genie. Unfortunately, it’s sold out at Shopbop, but you can still find it at Nordstrom as well as Lord & Taylor. Shopbop does, however, have plenty of other cold weather hatĀ options! My other favorite hat as of late is from a brand called Brixton that I found on Shopbop. I’ve linked a bunch of awesome hats below that are all on sale this week!
Shopbop is currently running a tiered discount sale with code MORE17. This means that if you spend more, you save more. Spend $200 or more and save 20%, spend $500 or more and receive 25% off, and spend $800 or more and save 30% off your entire order. I’ve linked some of my top picks that I’ll be shopping (I already bought this hat, this dress, and these boots, but I’ll definitely be picking up this top, this jumpsuit, and this scarf this time around too.) Hurry, because this sale ends on November 26th at Midnight PST!

Gorgeous style. I love the shoes and the tights underneath.
