70s Revival: Flare Jeans Outfit

Greetings from the other coast! We’re adventuring around Florida today, so I’m not exactly dressing like my usual Pacific-Northwest-fall-loving self. Feels a little funny to be posting this outfit that would be far too warm to be wearing here (hello, humidity!) However, there’s only so much you can do while traveling. Today I’m actually wearing a lot of color, and I’m sweating my face off. Err… I mean looking super glam and drinking cocktails on the beach! Don’t worry, I’ve got a serious amount of sunscreen on. This pale princess is staying full on ghostly. ;)

Enough about what I’m doing right now, how about an outfit! I’m trying to keep my normal schedule this week, and I’ve got an outfit featuring one of my favorite fall trends, the flare jean! I purchased these flare jeans way back in April, but kind of forgot about them over summer (because when it’s hot, black jeans aren’t exactly my pant of choice) and with the 70s revival, these jeans fit right in.

I tucked in a simple white button up I picked up from local ZebraClub.com and for even more retro flare, grabbed my fringe bucket bag. To date, this is probably my absolute favorite DailyLook Elite Box purchases. It’s held up really well for being faux leather, and I just love how much it can store without looking silly! I usually wear it over the shoulder, however, it’s also super functional as a crossbody when shopping or adventuring around the city.

Have you worn flare jeans yet this season? How do you like to style them?

These are so cute! I just love 70s style, so I’m all about flare jeans. That said, I’m surprised you got them at Forever 21! Jeans are one of those clothing items that I always spend more on, because if I pick them up for cheap they always have rips after about 2 months. My favorites are Lucky Brand, which aren’t too pricey. They have some great flare styles there too :)

Thanks Cat! I picked up these at Forever 21 since I wasn’t sure how I would like the style/if I would wear them. I figured better to go inexpensive first and buy a better pair later. Luckily these have held up decently, but I also don’t wear them terribly often. I’ll have to try out Lucky Brand for my next pair – I’m thinking I need to find a more standard blue jean flare!

I just got a pair of flair jeans in my last Fix and I was surprised by how much I liked them, but they were a tiny bit too big (yay for loosing weight!)
