3 Years + Thank You Giveaway

This fall celebrates three years of blogging. With Thanksgiving coming, I could think of no better way to kick off this month then by thanking you. When I started Hello Rigby, I had no idea what I was doing. While I was an avid reader of style blogs, I never thought I would be sharing my own outfits. I thought Hello Rigby would mostly be about my dog, but it turns out that as much as I love Rigby and being his dog mom, writing about dogs really isn’t what I’m most passionate about.

So as the months went on, I explored my interests in beauty and fashion, eventually landing on a combination of the two. What I love is sharing outfits that are attainable yet stylish. Beauty looks that are pretty but not overly complicated. And that life isn’t perfect, and that’s okay. For those that have been here since the early days, thank you for sticking with me. To those that have been here awhile, thank you too. And to those who are new here, thank you for visiting. I hope you come back!

This year has been about big changes for us. At this time last year, we were working on updating our condo to make it into a place we wanted to stay. We thought making some adjustments would make us love it for a few more years. This year, we decided we didn’t want to stay, and we made the decision to sell. It sold, and we’re now living in a temporary space, and while it’s not been the best thing ever, we have our fingers majorly crossed that another big new thing (a house) is on the horizon for us.

Through all the stress and changes, the thing that has remained constant is my blog. Even when I had to take a break and post a lot less, it still has been a happy place. It’s taught me a lot. It’s taught me how to manage my time better. It’s shown me that I’m not always as organized as I’d like to be. It’s shown me that running a business and having a life outside of it are challenging. That putting your heart and soul into something is tough but rewarding. And it’s shown me that putting out positivity often means you receive that back. And for all the times when I stay up all night working on a post and am exhausted the next day are worth it, because receiving a kind comment, a sweet email, tweet, or even just an acknowledgment of some sort put a big smile on my face. So thank you for that.

I may not be changing the world with this little blog, but I hope it’s able to bring a little joy and be a place of positivity and honesty in a world where sometimes that’s not so much the case. So, happy three years, Hello Rigby. Here’s to another year of adventures.

    I think that you linked your post (in the giveaway widget) to your and Dave’s 3 year anniversary, haha. But I love that post, too! I love both of these bags. I think as far as the actual tote and crossbody go, I’d choose #1 all the way. But both are full of such great products! I’d be happy to win either. Crossing my fingers!!!
