My First StitchFix // November Subscription Box Review

Stitch Fix Box
Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links, but my opinions are my own, and I paid for this box.

After receiving a gift code to Stitch Fix in my PopSugar Must Have Box, I figured I might as well try the service out! So that’s just what I did and put the code to use towards my first Stitch Fix box. I scheduled that for the beginning of this month, and it arrived right on time.

It’s a super fun concept for those that love new clothes but don’t always love dealing with the crowds at the mall. Basically, you allow one of their stylists to pick out 5 items to send to you for a $20 styling fee.

You then get to try those items on in the comfort of your own home, decide what you like (or don’t like), re-package it up, and mail it back. Then, with the items you decide to keep, you check out online and receive $20 of the styling fee that you pay when scheduling towards your purchase. If you keep nothing, the experience costs your styling fee ($20).

You can sign up for Stitch Fix on a monthly, or on an needs basis. There’s nothing to cancel if you don’t like it, which is great!

So without further ado, here’s my first Stitch Fix:

Rigby thinks all boxes are for him.

Staccato Black + White Striped Cardigan – This was pretty cute, but I just didn’t think it was worth the price. ($68)

image

41 Hawthorn Plaid Knit Scarf – When I opened this, it loved it! Unfortunately, it’s just really too bulky for my small frame. ($38)

image

Finley Burgundy Bell Sleeve Open Neck Sweater – The card suggested this to wear to work. Overall, though, the neckline is much too wide to make it work appropriate for all my nerdy male co-workers! ($58)

Burgundy Henley Top – This was overall too loose, and not really my style. ($48)

Calibri Plaid Printed Tab Shirt – Loved this. I’ve been wanting a more “girly” version of the flannel/plaid trend, and this was really cute. Dave said it looked like a PJ top, but I chose to ignore him. :) ($48 – $20 via PSMH = $28 cost to me)

Overall, I was really excited to receive this box and enjoyed the experience. Since I only kept one item, however, it may be awhile before I sign up for another Stitch Fix.

NOTE: I would suggest that if you do order from Stitch Fix to please check your garments before keeping them! I almost didn’t notice the hole on the back of the henley, and if I had kept it that would have been mega disappointing.

Have you signed up for Stitch Fix? What did you think of the experience? I look forward to hearing about it in the comments!
