Stitch Fix December & Giveaway

Affiliate Links

Another month, another Stitch Fix. And the last one of 2015! Pretty wild that we’re already into December. If you’re not familiar, Stitch Fix is essentially a personal styling service for those on a budget or with time constraints for shopping. Sign up, fill out a style profile, pay a $20 styling fee (that you can put towards your Fix), and wait for your box of 5 clothing items (maybe with an accessory or shoes, too!). You then can try each item on in the comfort of your home, select what you want to keep, and send the rest back in the prepaid mailing envelope.

I started my Stitch Fixes back up earlier this year and it seems to have hit a weird patch. My beloved stylist, Kimberly has vanished. Last month I had a new stylist, and again this month, a new one. Perhaps I’m a difficult customer? Who knows.

And that brings me to my bad news. I had another bust of a Stitch Fix. The good news for you? I’m starting Christmas early this year with a giveaway. Even if Stitch Fix isn’t always 100% on point for me, I thought it would be fun for someone to be able to try their own Stitch Fix risk-free by offering a $20 gift card to cover your styling fee. Even if the box isn’t 100% perfect, the experience and surprise still are! More on that below, but first, let’s take a peek at my December Stitch Fix!

Stitch Fix October 2015

Another month, another Stitch Fix. I know some may wonder why a style blogger would be interested in Stitch Fix, after all, isn’t the fun part of style the shopping part? While I’d totally say yes, the thing that I like is that it allows me to add pieces (for me, it’s just one piece per fix) that I wouldn’t normally find. The longer with Stitch Fix, the more I’ve noticed that I’m not able to find these exact items anywhere else. Additionally, I often receive items that I’ve wanted to add to my closet since I’ve pinned similar items.

Plus lately, I haven’t had as much time to shop… so it allows me the opportunity to freshen up my closet without leaving the house. It doesn’t always work out for me, like last month when I tried to avoid dress shopping by requesting wedding-appropriate dresses. For something like that, I’ll probably go with Rent the Runway, as I used for Bellevue Fashion Week. Anyways, onto this month’s review!

Subscription Boxes Lately: Summer 2015 & Giveaway

Affiliate Links: If you click a link below, I may receive small credit. I pay for these subscriptions.

So I feel like a broken record. I have a beauty subscription problem. It only got worse in July when I was on vacation and forgot to put my Julep Maven Box on hold (as well as a few of those other recurring services like Just Fab and Fabletics. Oops.)

Subscription Boxes Lately Summer 2015: Ipsy, Birchbox, Julep Maven, The Zoe Report Box of Style, & Jouer Le Matchbox Unboxing & Review // hellorigby seattle beauty blog

I event went so far as to try out a few new ones this summer: The Zoe Report Box of Style (so not technically beauty, but has beauty products in it) and the Jouer Le Matchbox. These are both quarterly subscriptions, but are much more splurgey than the $10-a-month Ipsy or Birchbox. While I could have posted about each of these individually and taken photos and video, my summer just disappeared and I realized I was running out of time before the next quarterly boxes ship. So… if you’re not a fan of videos, no worries, I will write out my overall thoughts about each month below the video. ;)

Dailylook Elite August 2015

Another month, another Dailylook Elite box. I received this in July right around the same time as Stitch Fix, but I hate inundating you with too many reviews in one week so held this one back. This month was my first month with a new stylist. Rita, my former stylist, moved on to a position elsewhere, so I was assigned to Diane L. I didn’t ask for anything in particular this month. In fact, I meant to delay this box until right about now due to vacation, but by the time I realized my error, the box was already on the way.

Either way, it worked out okay because there were some winners (and some losers, as always) in my box. So onto what Diane sent me!

Stitch Fix June 2015

Affiliate Links: If you make a purchase after clicking a link below, I may make a small commission. I pay for this subscription service.

Well, it’s that time again. It’s June, and I got my Stitch Fix this month… and it was pretty awesome. I thought I was totally going to screw myself over because I had forgotten I had one last Stitch Fix coming before my big trip, but I was good and didn’t keep everything. :)

I think you know the drill by now, but if you’re new: Stitch Fix is a subscription service that you schedule to come when you want it, or monthly. For a $20 styling fee (which will be deducted from anything you keep) they’ll send you a box of 4 clothing items and 1 accessory item. You’ll be assigned to a stylist that will get to know your personal style based on your Pinterest board(s) and your style profile. I’ve had Kim as my stylist since I started back up with StitchFix and have been so happy with her. Here’s what she sent me this month!
