Well, it’s that time again. It’s June, and I got my Stitch Fix this month… and it was pretty awesome. I thought I was totally going to screw myself over because I had forgotten I had one last Stitch Fix coming before my big trip, but I was good and didn’t keep everything. :)

I think you know the drill by now, but if you’re new: Stitch Fix is a subscription service that you schedule to come when you want it, or monthly. For a $20 styling fee (which will be deducted from anything you keep) they’ll send you a box of 4 clothing items and 1 accessory item. You’ll be assigned to a stylist that will get to know your personal style based on your Pinterest board(s) and your style profile. I’ve had Kim as my stylist since I started back up with StitchFix and have been so happy with her. Here’s what she sent me this month!

Stitch Fix June 2015 Review & Styling

Stitch Fix June 2015 Review: Ezra Cuballa Embroidery Knit Top / hellorigby seattle fashion blogEzra Cuballa Embroidery Knit Top in Navy, Size Small $58 (Kept)
I loved this top, which is why I had pinned it to my fashion pin board earlier this month! My stylist, Kim, noted that and was able to send it to me, and I just loved it. What can I say, I know what I like. ;) I think this will look super cute with a pair of boyfriend shorts and with my white boyfriend jeans on a cooler day this summer!

Stitch Fix June 2015 Review: Gilli Keli Maxi Dress in Gray / hellorigby seattle fashion blogGilli Keli Maxi Dress in Dark Grey, Size Small $54 (Returned)
I hesitated on returning this because I really did want a maxi dress. I got rid of a few that just didn’t fit all that great at the end of last summer, and this cotton version would be great for our trip… but something just was off. I think it’s a combination of not being a huge fan of the color or the waistline. Maybe it was a mistake not keeping this; I’m not sure. Oh well.

Stitch Fix June 2015 Review: Kut from the Kloth Kate Distressed Boyfriend Jean / hellorigby seattle fashion blogKut from the Kloth Kate Distressed Boyfriend Jean, Size 4 $78 (Returned)
I’ve tried Kut from the Kloth jeans before and had issues with sizing… and these were no different. They were large around the waist and hips, and too long, even cuffed. Pass on these, and I think if I were to try the brand again I’d request a 2 or even a 0.

Stitch Fix June 2015 Review: Market & Spruce Spencer Striped Jersey Dress / hellorigby seattle fashion blogMarket & Spruce Spencer Striped Jersey Dress in Navy, Size Small $54 (Returned)
I’m not a big chevron fan, but I did think this dress was pretty cute. Unfortunately, I just didn’t love how it fit up top. It was a little too tight across the chest and accented that area (it’s hard to tell in these photos, yay for long hair!)

Stitch Fix June 2015 Review: 31 Bits Mediterranean Bead Necklace / hellorigby seattle fashion blog31 Bits Mediterranean Beaded Necklace in Coral, $48 (Returned)
I loved this right out of the box, but unfortunately when I put it on, the love just wasn’t there. It’s at a bit of an odd length on me, and I just can’t see myself wearing it. 31 Bits, however, has a super interesting business model where they help Ugandan women by providing a program offering mentorship and financial support through creating these handmade jewelry pieces. I may have to pick up a piece or two from them in the future that’s a bit more my speed.

And that’s a wrap for my June Stitch Fix! What did you think… did I miss a real gem? Have you tried Stitch Fix yet? I’d love to hear about what you got!

So happy you kept the first top- it’s so cute and I can totally see it going with so many things too! I like the maxi, but it does seem a little bit too big on you- I think you’ll end up finding one you like even better down the road :)

I actually really like that chevron dress, but I’m a big fan of chevron print. lol! My friend has a lot of trouble finding dresses/tops that fit her because she’s more busty and has small waist, so I totally get what you’re saying. I am not so “blessed” in that area. haha!

I love the first top you kept and I like the Chevron dress although if it didn’t fit well across the top it was a good return. The maxi dress was a good return, I don’t love it either. I think it’s the color. IDK.

I love the chevron dress (don’t like chevron, either, but this one is so cute!) and would love the grey dress if it were shorter… or a t-shirt, just because I like to wear grey stuff around the house. I have way too much of it, though, so I’d think long and hard before getting any more of it. I need color. And I get why you’d return them because of sizing issues! Smart choices.

oooh I love that top you kept! as far as the hesitation on the maxi, I think it’s a little boring? you know, with all that fabric they can do so much more! if that helps :)

Love that top! I’m on the lookout for an embroidered or tasseled or in some way boho/hippie chic blouse…tried my first one on yesterday and it was a biiig miss.

Oh no! Hate when that happens. I’ve seen a lot of cute and inexpensive tops like that at Forever 21 as well as ShopRuche.com if you’re still looking!

Thanks Alanna, and agreed on the maxi! I definitely think I can find something that fits a bit better elsewhere!

Thanks for stopping by my blog Jenn.

I am loving these picks. I have never been to Seattle, but these are great picks for New York right now. I especially love Ezra Cuballa Embroidery Knit Top in Navy top and the 31 Bits Mediterranean Beaded Necklace.

I’m torn on that dress, too! I think the waist line is a little different, but it made you look VERY tall and long, so that’s not a bad thing. The color wasn’t amazing though. Hard choice!

Definitely was! I think for the cost it wasn’t worth keeping… maybe if it was black or another dark color it would have worked better? I agree, the length was perfect and definitely made me look taller!

Haha, isn’t that fun to deal with?! So many cute dresses I haven’t been able to buy for that very reason, sigh!

I think the maxi dress is cute, but I agree that something is a little “off” about it. Maybe the waist tie is in a weird place? Like it should be slightly higher or lower.

I think that it definitely has something to do with the tie waist! Almost like it shouldn’t look quite like that. Kind of a bummer because I liked it otherwise!

That first top is really the only one I like too. The waistline on the grey dress was weird, and the chevron pattern on the other dress just doesn’t work. The jeans look like you’re actually wearing your boyfriend’s too-big-for-you jeans, which I don’t think is quite what “boyfriend jeans” is suppose to mean lol. The necklace needs to be a few inches shorter. I’d probably have tried to shorten it myself and kept it, but if you don’t have the tools to do that, I can see returning it.

I’m wary of trying Stitch Fix. I love the concept, but I’m so picky and hard to fit. I worry I’d just return everything.

Agreed with all of your points on the fit issues. All around just a little off, besides the top. I definitely don’t have any jewelry tools, and would probably never bother fixing it, so that was out too :P

I’ve enjoyed Stitch Fix since resubscribing. My first 2 fixes were pretty much fails, but I’ve had consistently good ones the last 3 fixes (and good for me means one piece in each fix that I absolutely love.) There’s no way I could fill my wardrobe with only Stitch Fix, nor would I want to. I think it’s just all in what you want out of it and if it’s worth that first $20 risk. (Though it seems if you get a bust, they’ll waive the fee for a re-do if you let them know.)
