my winter uniform / fashion friday ootd

As winter is coming to a close, this is probably one of the last times I’m going to need to layer this much. This last weekend, we went out to brunch with my parents, walked the dog, and stopped for a mini photo shoot on our walk. Ok, maybe I highly encouraged the walk for some photo ops, but whatever. #fashionblogger problems, right?

Rigby didn’t get the memo about how to pose for photos with others. Forcing him into cute poses doesn’t work either. Oh well, instead we get funny shots like the above.

A little bit of nature

You look great, and your cute photographer did a nice job. I am going to need to ask my husband or grandma to take pictures for me. My kids always seem to get me at a funny angle (and by funny, I mean fat). I love the Modcloth sweater! I like your glasses too. I can’t wear that style because I have a low bridge. I have to have a nose piece or the glasses slide down my nose. I needed glasses quickly because my old ones broke after 4 good years. I settled (if you can call $450 settling) for the D&G tortoise and gunmetal. Nice, but not quite what I was looking for.

aw, thank you! my glasses slip down my nose fairly often too, but i get them adjusted each year when i go to the optometrist and it does the trick for a few months ;) wow, glasses are highway robbery aren’t they?! i think these were about $300 when all was said + done!

Outfit is on point. I love the way you color blocked the black with a bright yellow sweater + pink lipstick! Hair draws more attention to the lovely scarf you have on (which by the way is really cute) and makes the outfit just that much more perfect! Not to mention the cute shoes :)

My husband doesn’t understand photos at all, so I’m usually on my own with my tripod for these kinds of things. One of these days I’ll be brave enough to conquer “fashion blogger”. Also, so much puppy cuteness happening right here.

HAHA, I was just going to say that I love your scarf, when I realize that I have it too. I feel like mine has a different pattern though, with more black than grey. Or maybe I’m just imagining things. Anyway, I love how you paired it with yellow; I would have never thought of that, and it looks so good!
