Last Friday some of us in the fashion community got extra dolled up to attend Seattle’s 12th annual Fashion First Seattle Fashion Show benefitting the Crescent Moon Foundation and the Inspire Youth Project. By the end of the night, over $100,000 was raised for charity! It was also fun to put several names to faces in real life and catch up with other blogger friends. And of course, see some great runway looks! The styles ranged from fall and winter wear to swimwear.

What I’m Wearing:
Top: Silk Blouse via Popbasic (similar)
Vest: Vintage via Seattle Goodwill (similar) (last styled here)
Skirt: 3.1 Philip Lim for Target (similar) (last styled here)
Shoes: Xappeal Morgan Booties c/o Rack Room Shoes (last styled here and here)
Clutch: Carly Convertible Clutch in Black Python via Gigi New York

Of course I had to get dressed up, and in the past, I’ve tried to pick up something new to wear to shows. This time, however, I thought it would be fun to dig into my closet and try to pair something I hadn’t tried before. I ended up choosing my silk Popbasic blouse (which I purchased from their Kickstarter project a few months back), my favorite thrifted vest from Seattle Goodwill, and my Philip Lim for Target navy a-line skirt.

Overall, I was pleased with how the look turned out. (Even if Dave did say I was channeling a Japanese school girl. I took it as a compliment!) I have a feeling I may be reworking a very similar look again this fall and probably into winter!

I also thought I’d share a couple of my favorite looks from the show for inspiration. I picked looks that I’m personally interested in recreating in some way this fall – whether it’s remixing pieces I already own, or seeking out something similar (though more budget-friendly!) when out shopping this fall and winter.

Your look is straight out of Gossip Girl and almost a mixture of something Blair and Serena would both wear! (I mean this in the best way as they had excellent style on that show and your outfit is adorable!)

This is one of my favorite outfits that you’ve put together! I don’t think I could ever pull it off, but I love how it looks on you; so put together and classy!
