The Julep Maven Box is one of the things I look forward to most every month, because its a fun little splurge that I allow myself. Julep creates a new collection each month, and depending on your style profile, recommends two nail polishes + one beauty product to you.
Julep Maven January 2014 Box
This month I stuck with my normal profile “Boho Glam” and got two nail polishes and the Ta-Da Quick Dry Drops.
Julep Nail Color in Hannah – Silk Finish Sandy Beach – I haven’t tried this color yet, but really like the color. It’s different than anything else I currently have in my nail polish… um, wardrobe? (Value $14)
Julep Nail Color in Hannah – a Sage Creme – I found this polish to be much more watery than normal, but coat #2 was definitely opaque so no complaints. (Value $14)
Julep Ta-Da Quick Dry Drops – Love these. Wait one minute after you paint your nail, then drop one of these on top and within about 30 seconds to a minute you’re good to go. (Value $14)
Bonus: Julep Filing Pads – These are fine. I used them to file down my nails before my most recent mani. Nothing special, and kind of a one-time-use thing. (Value $1)
All in all, I find the Julep Maven box to be a good value for the $20/month price. Some don’t totally love Julep’s polish formula (I find it can be hit or miss, like Hannah is totally different in consistency than the others) but I think the experience of the curated monthly colors is fun and is worth the price. I’ll let you decide though – enter code “FREEBOX” and just pay shipping for your first month. I’m really looking forward to February’s box!
